Dear Partners in Christ,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for
your support and help this past year. We have had a
productive time in serving Christ together. When we go out
on the streets of this great city, named after our Lord's
beloved.
Apostle Peter, we go with your blessings. We know that we do
not do this by ourselves. When we serve coffee and food to a
homeless person we are doing it together. You may not be
able to be out there with us, but because of your generosity
and love for Jesus, we are able to do these acts of love and
kindness as partners.
Over this past year, we were able to touch the lives of
25,000 people for Christ with 500 plus dedications to
Christ. Praise God! As you browse through the pages of this
site and read of the many various ministries and services
that have been rendered to the needy of this community you
will see that there is much cause to celebrate the grace our
Lord is pouring out on the less fortunate through the
sharing efforts of you, our supporters, and our staff of
volunteers.
Even though we make nightly coffee runs serving hot coffee,
sandwiches, snacks, cold water and toiletry items to
homeless persons on the downtown streets; serve breakfast
every Saturday morning when other services are closed,
operate our Dream Center four days a week providing clothes,
food, coffee, and prayer, conduct recovery group support
meetings two nights per week and provide referral services
to all who come in and inquire. ALL THIS IS NOT ENOUGH!
After all, the real mission is not about the volume of
services rendered or the quantity of goods provided.....IT
IS ABOUT WINNING SOULS TO CHRIST!
Please let me now share my heart with you. In order for us to
keep expanding and growing we need more volunteers and a
bigger facility. One where we can not only minister to the
temporary physical needs of those hurting souls of our
community but also for the longer term needs, such as
housing and spiritual mentoring and discipleship. Please
consider sharing your good fortune with us and those we
serve so we might continue to live according to the Gospel
of Love and to fulfill our mission of: "RESTORING HOPE AND
CHANGING LIVES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST".
